Company History
In 2002, Bernice O'Shea gained experience and insight into the apparel industry as a Production Assistant for a respected fashion designer in Vancouver, BC. During that same year, Bernice rode a motorcycle for the first time. Riding grew into a passion as she participated in group rides and weekend excursions. She was influenced by an article she read by Corey Cunningham who describes motorcycle enthusiasts as ‘a group of individuals with very different lives but one favorite pastime …Once we are on our bikes it’s like we are all from one mold of people.’ The concept for BACK ON THE BIKE Riding Apparel Inc. was established.
In September 2005, BACK ON THE BIKE Riding Apparel Inc. was incorporated. One year later, Bernice O'Shea was accepted into BCIT's BEST Program for Entrepreneurs, and in January 2007 her dream of becoming an Apparel Designer/Entrepreneur was realized. As an Apparel Designer/Entrepreneur and fellow motorcycle enthusiast, Bernice designs riding apparel for professional men and women to be fashionable on and off the bike. |
