Some more photos of the LEATHER BIKE BAG. Not only did I use waterproof leather in construction, but I also used waterproof fabric for a liner. Inside the BIKE BAG is a separate compartment for glasses. (You know the ones we all look for when we're in a hurry and have left somewhere).

By request, I designed a simple, functional, and sleek BIKE BAG. Because it was being placed between the front forks and the windshield, the BIKE BAG needed to be slim, compact, and detachable. My answer was a BIKE BAG with clean design lines and waterproof leather construction.

The answer is absolutely! When I designed the AVIATOR SUIT, I also designed it's matching COMPRESSION TOTE. Constructed of the same waterproof optic fabric, the TOTE compliments the AVIATOR SUIT and keeps it prepped for the next torrential downpour. Can't keep motorcycle enthusiasts off their bikes - no matter what the weather!

The AVIATOR SUIT - Head to Toe Visibility

From concept to creation, the AVIATOR SUIT enhances visibility. Features include: two-way water resistant zippers along the length of the outside legs, and a long, two-way zipper along the centre front of the garment. Lots of 3M Scotchlite Reflective Tape to enhance visibility, and all seam sealed onto an optic (high visibility) waterproof fabric.

CUSTOM FIT LEATHERS for Jim

As requested, I designed a large belt loop at the centre back waistband for his belt. Made with a Brazilian hide, these leathers are designed with two detachable linings: one with Cool Plus for warm weather, and a Microfleece for the cooler temperatures.

BOB - Can you see THE SIGN

I have remarked, on many occasions, that many enthusiasts LOVE THEIR BIKES. Polished and gleaming, they baby their baby. So when Keith pulled up to the shop and parked his bike in front of my Showroom, I couldn't help but notice the reflection of my Showroom window in the paint on his bike. And, of course, I had to capture the image!

Designing the AVIATOR SUIT

Enhance visibility - that's what I'm thinking about as I ride in inclement weather. I was asked to design rain gear for a motorcycle enthusiast that was heading off on an expedition for a month. Parametres: lightweight, compact, visible, and must comfortably fit over my customer's own Motorrad gear. My answer: the AVIATOR SUIT (highlighted in the June 2008 issue of The Specialist). Here I am working out the design details of the sleeve graphic in 3M Scotchlite Reflective Tape.

From our showroom, we source many qualities and styles of leathers. I am looking forward to designing with the uncut Farm Gold Deerhide Leather hanging in the showroom. I am inspired by it's rich colour and soft feel. Because of the wonderful texture and unique application of the hide, I believe it is a design inspiration to document.

I packed a NECKSOX for the trip. I knew riding in the desert would be a great place to take a NECKSOX for a test ride. I was protected from the sun, wind, and the chill of the night air. I was also able to snap a self-portrait.

Do you recognize in which Las Vegas hotel this picture was taken, and the artist that created the hand blown glass on the ceiling? The organic nature of the colours and forms of the blown glass on the ceiling is juxtaposed with the precise, cut, mirrored glass mosaic on the horse. Spectacular.
